    Poor quality & customer service

These shoes are really comfortable but both shoes ripped after less than 6 months of wear. Kizik refused to replace them or provide a refund because it had been more than 6 months since I purchased them. But I only wore them for a few months, only in they city, and both shoes ripped in the exact same place, so it was clearly a defect.

    Fell apart after 3 months

Preface: My kiddo and I between us own about 6 pairs of Kiziks and wear them daily. We LOVE our Kiziks, but this particular model is a BIG loser. They need to pull these from their line or revisit their QC on this manufacturing line. Bought these for my autistic tween who needed some easy step-in boots for the last few muddy months of school. I bought them in April. By June they had started to fall apart. It was weird because the fabric on the upper part of the shoe tore away from the seams in the same place on both shoes at the same time—literally on the same day. You can see it in the photo I included. I’ve never seen anything like that happen before, almost like they were designed to fall apart after a certain amount of time? They also STINK really badly with regular wear. I have tried everything to de-stink these shoes and nothing works to kill the stink. My child has plenty of other shoes including several other pairs of kiziks, and none of them stink like these. Oh and the laces fell apart too! They just started to fray and chunks of the laces fell off the ends. What on earth happened to these shoes?! Did they fly to the sun before being delivered to us? lol.I think this style is a big malfunction in manufacturing for Kizik. It’s too bad because my kid loves wearing these shoes. I just can’t justify the cost to replace them again when Kizik won’t even acknowledge the defect in their manufacturing and make it right with their customers 😞 I’m a big fan of this brand…

    Was great….

So I bought this in January loving how well it worked. But here I am only 5 months later with it broken. For the price I paid I was expecting it to last at minimum a year but instead a tear happened and now water just leaks in. Pretty disappointed with this. Was not as durable as they made it out to be. Be aware.

    Poor construction

I'm so so disappointed in Kzik! I have loved their shoes in the past so I was so happy to see that they had hiking shoes. I don't usually spend so much on shoes, but trusted them. But these only lasted a a few months. The uppers fell apart completely on both shoes, and I've done nothing strenuous with them at all. I contacted customer service but they could only offer me a 10% discount. This is really so sad because these clearly were just poorly constructed. They just made a mistake. I wish they could own up to that. They really need to pull these, fix the flaw in the design, and offer those who purchased a refund or exchange. They lost my trust. I don't mind them making a mistake. I do mind them not owning up to it. Do better, Kzik.

Love except for.....Debris MAGNET! Only for city or no brush/dirt hiking.

I have several (like 6?) pairs of Kiziks and love them. I really loved these when I first received them 2 months ago. I was thrilled to have a pair of higher & slightly more 'water/snow' resistant to buzz out and feed the horses. What the description does NOT tell you is that the outer layer that has the lace eyelets (holes) is completely separate from the tongue & body of the boot. If you walk in ANYTHING other than open ground it's a MAGNET for stuff - leaves, dirt, sawdust, even snow. Eventually some of those stems from the hay worked their way THROUGH the inner lining of the boot and began poking at my feet. At first I thought I'd just gotten some hay inside my boot & would dump them out, shake them, etc. when I came in. Now when I was cleaning them to put them away for the season I was shocked at all the junk inside! Took me literally an hour on each boot to get part of the stuff out. Still plenty inside that I cannot get to come out (it swishes around the toe to the other side). I've NEVER had a shoe/boot where the outer layer is so unattached to the lining/insulation of the boot. If they simply had a line of stitching just below the eyelets for laces it would solve the problem. Cranking down the laces doesn't work - if they are too tight you can't slip the shoe on & off. I feel I was not purchasing knowing exactly how the shoe was made. Sadly, customer service simply said "that's how the shoe is made". Well, yeah, I figured that out! So - if you hike in brush, do yard…
