Wanted to Love This Shoe
As the title states I really wanted to love this shoe for a trip this spring but the sizing was a little off. I am a fan of the Kizik brand as I a have pair of the Lima and really like the shoe so wanted to try the new Athens as it has more cushion. I was able to try the Lima on at a Kizik store so I knew the fit was good. With the Athens I ordered my normal 10 on line and when they arrived the 10 was too big with too much room in front of the laces and toe box. I returned them for a 9.5 that shipped and arrived quickly. The fit was much better but my big toe is too close to the front of the shoe for my tastes. I will keep the shoe in my rotation hoping it will conform to my foot and become more comfortable but it will not be my “go to” shoe for my month of travel as I had hoped. Future Kizik purchases will include an in store fitting.
