    Mostly good

So my kid loves these shoes and they fit nicely. But there’s a very annoying feature and that is the shoelaces do not stay tied the shoelaces are not even required because it’s a slip on shoe yet every time I double not them they come untied. I’m wondering if you could make these with elastic permanent shoelaces that don’t come untied.

    Terrible shoelace and tongue design

I echo what the other reviewers have said about this shoe. The shoelaces are functional, and the shoelaces are NOT attached to the tongue, which essentially renders this shoe as just a regular shoe with laces. Why would we buy a slip on shoe when it's basically just a regular shoe and the design doesn't actually allow for it to be slipped on. We have been loyal Kizik users for years now, and my son has fine motor impairments that don't allow him to manipulate the shoelaces or tongue at all. We LOVED the previous versions of kids' shoes that have fake laces and the tongue is attached to the laces so when you slip them on, it's actual slip-ins. GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL DESIGN and purpose of slip on shoes.

    Great shoe, having laces sucks

The then 2 is what feels like the first Athens but with 3 differences:1. Color choices2. Foot sole drawing to help with matching right feet3. Laces1. Everyone loves some new color choices so not mad about the refresh colors are fun.2. The foot sole drawing gets worn out within a few weeks. Cute idea but doesn’t continue to work3. Kizik are meant to make parents lives easier, from adults to kids the whole family has them and we’ve had many different shoes from them. My kids although they can slip on the shoes and get into the car quickly, have gotten bored and messed with/unlaced the shoes by time we get to where we are going that we have to stop and tie them multiple times a day which is a terrible hassle and the laces have gotten so dirty and caused them to trip which was never an issue with our Athens before. With the laces these aren’t worth the money and I would rather spend less on target slip on shoes for them without laces. Please remove the laces. If these didn’t have laces it would be 5 stars.

    Laces. Why are there laces?

I love the colors of the shoes, but why are there laces that need to be tied? When I purchased these, there were no reviews yet, so I went by the photos, which made it look like there were no laces. However, when they arrived in size 11C, I was shocked to find actual tie laces. The product claims they won’t come untied, but that’s not true.I’m very disappointed in the laces—it feels like a complete design flaw. Last year, I purchased Kizik shoes without laces and absolutely loved them. I was told that the Athens 2 were the only option because the Kids Orlando model was discontinued. Now, I’ve received an email that Kids Orlando has been restocked.I’m completely disappointed both in the new design of the Athens 2 and in Kizik customer service for telling me the Orlando shoes were discontinued with no plans for restocking.
