When you step in, things are always looking up.
I live in a town that gets snow 7 months out of the year. The height of the boot is tall enough for places that get a lot of snow. The insulation is pretty good. My feet stay warm as long as I am moving. The toe box only gets cold if you are just standing in the cold for more than an hour. Not recommended for events where you are not moving. It is very easy to slip your feet in the boot but because of the slip-in technology, the boot is very stiff. This makes it a little bit awkward when you are walking. It feels like walking in a ski boots. Would still recommend because of the ease of putting the boot on quickly.
I have size 7.5 in other shoes from Kizik, so I got an 8. Too small and narrow, so I ordered a 9 and spent more than an hour outside shoveling snow in them today with thick socks on and comfy, warm feet. Love them!
I love these boots! So soft, so comfortable, supportive too. I just might have to buy another pair in blue!
Fit well and are comfortable. Great for the cold. BUT - wore them when walk through snow for the first time and feet got pretty wet. Water leaks in via the heel. So, if you want them for walking in the snow, be aware.
As the title says, these boots have some issues, but I still love them. First, they do run small, and the toe box is a little narrow (wish they made these in a wide size) so definitely order a size up! You may have to even go two sizes up if you have big (9+) or wide feet and like to wear heavier socks in the winter. The insole is also pretty flat and not very comforting, like most boots, so if you do a lot of walking you might want to find some new inserts. That all said, I was able to go to a Kizik store to try on the boots and make sure I got a size comfortable enough for me (and that they had in stock as online was sold out at the time). I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that I can just step into these and go - no bending over to struggle with zippers or laces and no more struggles with the tall leg part of the boot flopping over to make you struggle getting the boot on (especially if you are a heavier person or pregnant). You just step in and go. Seriously a HUGE game changer for winter boots. And so far these boots have kept my feet warm and dry in Minnesota freezing cold Winter weather (yeah, those -20 degree temps with even colder wind chills and snow). I will say, taking the boots off is not quite as easy as putting them on, but no harder than taking off any other boot. My biggest complaint there is that when I'm sliding my feet out of my boots, most of the time my socks tend to get stripped off my feet (normal ankle athletic socks). That's not a dealbreaker, but something you might want to keep in mind - taller socks would probably stay on better. In addition, despite being all white, these boots have remained shockingly clean. Just a few minor scuff marks around the heel and toe, but overall they are still white. Even my mom has been shocked how clean and white they've remained with normal everyday use. There's a very good reason why these boots keep selling out: because they are great (despite some minor issues). TO KIZIK: PLEASE PLEASE make these in the wide sizes, and overall try to get them truer to size. I would also like to see a wide calf version. Though I personally didn't need it, others that I know with edema issues could REALLY benefit from the convenience of your step in boots and might need a wider calf size.
