Men's London AT Mid Waterproof

I loved these when I bought them. Super comfortable, easy to put on in the morning. When I took the dog for his long walk the first morning I had these, they stood up in a crazy downpour, and i thought I had found the perfect shoe.A couple months later, and whatever waterproofing was applied no longer works. I walked the dog through wet grass, and my toes were soaked by the time I got home. Very disappointing considering how comfy they are and how well they are holding up otherwise. Probably will got back to Gortex hiking boots though.

This is my 10th or 11th pairs of Kiziks, but the first shoe I’ve felt compelled to write a review for. I was very torn between these and the women’s Sierra boot until I read another review that said these were prettier in person. We have very wet winters in the Pacific Northwest and I needed something fully waterproof. So I took a chance. They arrived and I love them! They look better than the photos on the website. Less boring in person. The boot factor works so well and doesn’t feel loose on my ankle. I did order a half size up as recommended. I haven’t tried fully submerging the shoe, but so far so good for keeping feet dry in heavy rains. I also own a pair of the women’s London in surf spray/granite green, which I love too.

I live in New England. I bought these gearing up for our typical wet, slippery, slushy wintery mix for the next four months. While our Fall weather has generally been spectacular, we have had a bunch of days with drenching rain, giving me an opportunity to take my new boots for a spin. Awesome! Comfortable, sturdy, supportive. The hands-free in this form factor is a bit mind-blowing honestly. So easy to get on and off. They look great on. I have worn them with shorts and pants. I like the aesthetic so much that I've now started wearing them regularly even without the rainy weather. For waterproof shoes, these feel super breathable, no sweatiness or internal moisture that you sometimes get with waterproof shoes.Highly recommend!!!
