✨ Reviews Summary

Reviewers love the Wasatch Mid for bringing ankle-height protection to the Kizik hands-free experience. Comfortable for all-day wear, with good water resistance for snow, rain, and outdoor work. A favorite for people with back injuries and mobility issues who need a boot they can step into without bending. Looks great with leggings and jeans.

Poor quality and Poor Customer Service

Like others who have posted comments on these shoes, there is an apparent problem with build quality on the Wasatch Mid Blackout. I too have had the same problem with the seam coming apart where the cloth meets the rubber toe cap, even with very light use.I wear these for work and my job is 95% administrative, so my time is spent in an office or in meetings.I have attached photos of the ripping seam, as well as of the sole of my shoe so you can see the light wear.Upon reaching out to customer service I was basically told I was out of luck because I was past my 90-day warranty window, even though there is an apparent quality/build issue. I really wanted to continue to support this company, but clearly corporate America is better equipped to satisfy the customer and take the small financial hit related to customer satisfaction in return for a repeat customer and additional sales. It just sucks, but my son likes the dumb Skechers slip-ins anyway, so it just makes sense to make the switch..... sadly.

    Whats with the Quality!

Okay long time Kizik customer and own about 14 different pairs. Bought these Wasatch Mid size 13 Wide EE black and I thought these would be better than the regular Wasatch. Geez I was wrong. Setting myself back $169 with a promo discount. Purchased on November 27 2024. I was stoked to find these new version because tend to notice a trend about these Kizik shoes. Great design comfortable but materials are not meant to last very long. I buy alot of these pairs because they are convient to wear and comfortable but they either bow from over pronation and or wear and tear on the sole. Now back to the point THESE MID WASATCH SAYS "BUILT TO LAST" ON THE DISPLAY PAGE FOR THESE SHOES. It's now March- April of 2025 these shoes are ripping on the outer sides on both shoes. I asked customer about this and said sorry we don't care if your a loyal customer or buy alot of our shoes your outside the exchange/return window. Here's 10% off.... so not taking away how convient and comfortable these shoes are but they are sure not built to last. BTW I don't use these shoes outdoors I just walk in a office and they are ripping...

    Great shoes, but……

Don’t get me wrong, I love the Wasatch Mids. They are comfortable, breathe very well, and the ankle support is there without being obstructive. But when the shoe is marketed as an outdoor/adventure model, I would expect it to hold up. I have had my pair for almost exactly a month and last week a seam (is it a seam?) where the rubber toe cover meets the fabric just popped as I squatted down at work. I have not taken these shoes on any hikes or anything remotely rough yet. I work in IT- 90% of my time at work is sitting at a computer and the last 10% is working on server racks. So when I say that I haven’t done anything strenuous with these shoes, I really mean it. I will probably go back to my Pragues. Those have held up great!

    Seams separate at the toe

After less than a month the seams on both boots started to open up. Shoe goo now holding them together

Not very water resistant, upper material failed after 5 months

My wife bought me these. Originally I liked these shoes because they were Kiziks that I could wear in all weather. However, I quickly discovered that in heavy rain, my feet still got damp. Then, after 5 months of daily wear, large holes appeared at the seam of the upper material and toe, in the same spot on BOTH shoes. They aren't returnable... they only offered a 10% coupon (I can get a better coupon for 15% on the website right now). So I would caution that these shoes are not durable and won't last long.
