Women's Sierra Boot

I love these boots. I’m usually a 9 and have a taller instep, I got a nine and they feel great. They are comfortable all day, easy to slip on and off, and just a great shoe. I got the brown pair and did scuff them really quickly. I was nervous I’d already ruined them, but was surprised how well it blended after rubbing it. They wear it well. Will be wearing these a lot!!

This was NOT my first pair of Kizik’s — as a matter of fact, I think I wrote in another review about how I have bought several pairs, and at that time, was using Kizik almost exclusively because of health issues. So, this is not a one-off rant. As a matter of fact, I didn’t consider this at first at all. But, because I’ve been so very happy with my Kizik shoes in general, I think my hurt and disappointment were greater than they would have been otherwise. Because these were boots, and based on other’s reviews, I ordered both the 9’s (my regular size) and the 9.5’s. My first big mistake. I assumed I could return one pair. My second big mistake!Firstly I learned there was no insulation, but they ARE waterproof! That’s a big deal here in Northern Michigan, where “boots” are not a fashion statement, so much as they are a necessity for several months of the year. So I learned something there: be wary of sellers and marketing spiels — after all, their goal IS to sell you something/anything! I went ahead with my order, knowing they’re not really “boots” in my lexicon. The two pairs came separately, so I had a chance to try the 9.5’s first, then the smaller 9’s. I determined to keep the 9’s, return the 9.5’s: I simply did not need the extra length. But, by the time I was ready to return — between moving out of the home we’d lived in for 26 years — and some of my health challenges, which truly forced us to move; I was past their 30-day window and I could not get ANYone at Kizik…
